The hotel opened in 2005 and it is a modern and luxurious property which is ideally situated in the heart of central wellington. It is next to the historic bolton memorial park which is part of the lush surrounds of the botanic gardens. The hotel also has the wellington central business district quite literally at its doorstep with parliament and government buildings minutes walk away, while the citys main shopping area-lambton quay is two minutes walk away and the entertainment district is a short taxi ride time.

Superbly appointed, modern and elegant, the hotel´s spacious rooms are a perfect setting in which to relax and refocus. Studios and suites are decorated with exquisitely textured, earth-toned fabrics and soft funishings, and the walls are accented by original artwork and photographs of early Wellington scenes. Luxurious extras such as textilia white waffle bedcovers, padded suede headboards and velvety soft bathrobes ensure perfect comfort.

Located on level three, with views of Bolton Street and The Terrace, the hotel´s fully equipped gymnasium, heated lap pool (12.5 m x 2.5 m) and relaxing spa pool and sauna are available to help guests maintain fitness goals during their visit, or simply rejuvenate after a busy day. Opening hours are 5 am to 11 pm. During opening hours, unlimited use of the gym and pool facilities is available to all guests. The Gym has a range of cardiovascular and weight-training equipment, including an elliptical rider, a treadmill, an exercycle, a variety of free weights, a Swissball and an ab-roller.
